Ingredients

  • 1 package Onion-Mushroom Soup Mix
  • 1 cup Plain Yogurt
  • .5 cup Green Pepper, chopped
  • 1 pinch Mint Leaves
  • 1.5 pounds Ground Beef
  • 2 cloves Garlic, chopped
  • 1 cup Stewed Tomatoes, chopped & Drained
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 4 Pocket (Pita) Bread

Method

Power at high, combine 1 tablespoon soup mix, yogurt, green pepper and mint; reserve. In 2 qt. casserold disk, crumble ground beef; stir in remaining soup mix and garlic. Heat, covered, 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 minutes or until beef is browned, stirring once; drain. Stir in tomatoes and parsley. Heat, covered, 1 minute at high. Set power at medium. Heat, covered, 3 to 4 minutes stirring once. Meanwhile, cut bread in half; gently open. Fill "pocket" with beef mixture,; top with yogurt dressing.

Notes

Stove works as well and the meat cooks more consistently if stirred.
