Method
1. Adjust the oven rack to 6 inches from the broiler element and heat the broiler. Toss the asparagus with the oil (I use a plastic bag) and sprinkle with salt and pepper (don't over salt). Lay the spears in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet (I cover with foil). |
2. Broil the asparagus, shaking the pan occasionally, until they are tender and lightly browned, about 10 minutes, Sprinkle with lemon juice before serving, |
Notes
You can server fresh from the oven, at room temp, or chilled. To ensure even cooking, choose spears that are roughly 1/2 inch thick. |
